Energi Turns 3 Years Old!

It’s been 4 years since the Energi project first began and nearly 3 years since the creation of our first block. And what a journey it’s been! We have come a long way from the early days of Energi Gen 1 and we could not have done it without the support of our community. To say thank you, we will be celebrating non-stop for the month of April. There will be contests and prizes all month long and an extra special 24-hour birthday party on the 14th.

Why We’re Celebrating

After a year of research and development, Energi Gen 1 launched on our mainnet at 2:42 pm UTC on April 14th, 2018. Despite launching in the middle of a historic bear market, Energi has since grown from strength to strength. We made the change to proof of stake with our Gen 2 blockchain, then added Ethereum-compatible smart contract capabilities with the launch of Gen 3 last year. Most recently, we launched our decentralized exchange and automated market maker, Energiswap.

So, we are celebrating three years of consistent growth for the project and, more importantly, three years of support from you. Without the people that believe in the vision and value of Energi, both on our team and in our community, we could not be where we are today.

What’s Happening?

For the entire month of April, we will be celebrating our birthday with contests on our Discord and prizes totaling over 2,000 NRG. We have a bunch of activities planned throughout the month, including a 24-hour, non-stop birthday party on the 14th to mark the actual third birthday of our blockchain. April 1–13: Invitation Sweepstakes

In the run-up to our birthday bash, we are going to be holding an ongoing sweepstake with daily winners. Just design an invite for our birthday party and share it in our Discord for a chance to win NRG. Winning entries will be selected at random each day and used to announce the birthday party.

April 14: 24-Hour Birthday Party!

Starting at 2:42 pm UTC, we’ll be kicking off a non-stop party on our Discord with over 1,500 NRG up for grabs in prizes. The celebration will feature hourly gifts, trivia, puzzles, and NRG rain

April 15–30: All About Energi

To round out our birthday month, we’ll be holding a series of educational and creative challenges with even more prizes to be won. Each challenge will run for 5 days and focus on a different Energi theme.
